Gum recession and enamel wear can be caused by overbrushing, and over time this can lead to exposed dentine and sensitive teeth.
Sensodyne Repair & Protect Soft Toothbrush has bristles which flex on contact with the teeth and gums to help provide gentle cleaning. The outer bristles have tapered filaments that make the soft tip even more flexible, helping to protect against overbrushing.
Sensodyne Repair & Protect Soft Toothbrush uses soft, end-rounded bristles for a gentle, comfortable clean, designed as the toothbrush counterpart to Sensodyne's Repair & Protect toothpaste range.
Best practice for brushing:
- Brush twice daily for two minutes each time, using light pressure and small circular motions rather than scrubbing.
- Hold the brush head at a 45-degree angle against the tooth and gum line, and move it gently in small circles so it covers the whole tooth surface.
- Work around the whole mouth, including the back teeth, inner surfaces and chewing surfaces, not just the front teeth.
- After brushing, spit out any excess toothpaste rather than rinsing straight away with water, so the toothpaste can keep working.
- Avoid brushing immediately after eating or drinking anything acidic, as this can leave enamel more vulnerable to wear.
- Replace the toothbrush every 3 months, or sooner if the bristles start to fray.
