GC Tooth Mousse - Professional Remineralizing Crème for Enamel Protection

The fluoride-free solution for restoring mineral balance and soothing sensitive teeth.

GC Tooth Mousse is a specialized, water-based topical crème that provides a powerful defense for your teeth. Utilizing the innovative RECALDENT™ (CPP-ACP) technology*, it delivers bio-available calcium and phosphate directly to the enamel. Whether you are looking for an effective remedy for sensitivity or a way to strengthen your teeth against daily acid wear, GC Tooth Mousse is an essential addition to your oral hygiene toolkit.

How does GC Tooth Mousse work?

GC Tooth Mousse acts as a liquid enamel supplement. Its primary function is to deliver high concentrations of calcium and phosphate—the building blocks of teeth—back into the tooth structure. Here is how it supports your oral health:

  • Remineralizes Enamel: It reverses the process of demineralization caused by acidic foods, drinks, and plaque bacteria, helping to harden weakened areas of the teeth.
  • Neutralizes Acid: It helps to buffer the pH levels in your mouth, creating an environment that discourages the growth of decay-causing bacteria.
  • Relieves Sensitivity: By sealing open dentinal tubules, it provides a protective barrier that reduces the pain associated with hot, cold, or sweet triggers.
  • Treats White Spots: It is a highly effective mouth rinse companion for fading the appearance of white spot lesions often seen after orthodontic treatment.
  • Protects the Gingival Margin: By maintaining a healthy mineral balance, it supports your recommended daily care for gum health and helps prevent the complications associated with periodontal disease.

Why are my teeth sensitive? Why are my teeth wearing away?

Just like your body, your teeth need conditioning to stay healthy and look their best. Over time, teeth can weaken and lose nutrients. The result can be sensitive teeth that don't have enough enamel and that are at greater risk of developing cavities.

Is Tooth Mousse effective for sensitive teeth?

Yes, GC Tooth Mousse is a leading professional choice for managing tooth sensitivity. Unlike products that only mask the pain, it provides a biological solution by physically reinforcing the tooth's surface. This mineral-rich barrier blocks the microscopic pathways to the nerves, providing rapid and long-lasting relief. It is particularly beneficial after professional dental cleanings or whitening procedures.

Key Benefits:

  • RECALDENT™ (CPP-ACP): Derived from milk protein, this technology ensures minerals are absorbed where they are needed most.
  • Fluoride-Free: A safe and effective option for children under six and individuals who prefer a fluoride-free regimen.
  • Gentle & Safe: Can be applied multiple times per day to provide a soothing shield for your smile.
  • Multiple Flavors: Available in refreshing varieties like Mint, Strawberry, and Melon to make your routine more enjoyable.
  • Important Note (Allergy Warning): This product contains RECALDENT™ (CPP-ACP) which is derived from milk casein. It should not be used by individuals with milk protein or hydroxybenzoates allergies.

How do you use Tooth Mousse?

  1. Brush First: Brush your teeth with your regular toothpaste (preferably a fluoride-based one) and floss as usual.
  2. Apply a Small Amount: Squeeze a pea-sized amount of Tooth Mousse onto a clean finger or a cotton swab.
  3. Spread Over Teeth: Apply the crème to all tooth surfaces. Use your tongue to help spread the mousse into hard-to-reach areas and between the teeth.
  4. Wait for 3 Minutes: Leave the mousse in your mouth for at least three minutes. During this time, try not to swallow.
  5. Distribute with Tongue: After three minutes, use your tongue to spread the remaining mousse around your entire mouth and hold it for a further 1–2 minutes. The longer the mousse and saliva are held in the mouth, the more effective the result.
  6. Spit, Don't Rinse: Spit out any excess mousse and saliva. Do not rinse your mouth with water. Any remaining film on the tooth surface will continue to provide a biological shield and minerals.
  7. Avoid Eating or Drinking: For the best results, do not eat or drink for at least 30 minutes after application.

Professional Tips for Better Results:

  • Nightly Application: Applying Tooth Mousse right before bed is the most recommended daily care method. Since saliva flow decreases while you sleep, the minerals have more time to integrate into the enamel.
  • Custom Trays: If you have custom-made dental trays (like whitening trays), you can apply a small amount of mousse into the trays and wear them for 10–15 minutes for an intensive effective remedy against sensitivity or white spots.
  • Interdental Brushes: For targeted protection of the gingival margin and to prevent periodontal disease, you can apply a small amount of Tooth Mousse directly to an interdental brush before cleaning between your teeth.

*CPP-ACP was developed at the School of Dental Science at the University of Melbourne Victoria/ Australia. Recaldent is a trade mark used under license. Recaldent (CPP-ACP) is derived from milk casein. Do not use on patients with a milk protein and/ or hydroxybenzoates allergy.

I've been advised to use this due to undergoing radiotherapy but unsure if it is helping or not. Very easy to apply and not unpleasant.
